A New On-site Study-Abroad Program with Keuka College

On June13th, DTU and Keuka College in the USA signed an On-site Study-Abroad agreement. Keuka College President, Professor Jorge Luis Díaz-Herrera, Mr. Gary Giss, Director of Asian International programs at Keuka College, Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU President and Provost, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao and Ms. Le Nguyen Tue Hang, DTU Vice-Provosts, DTU lecturers, staff and students attended.

Keuka College President Díaz-Herrera, speaks

Keuka College was founded in 1890 on the shores of Lake Keuka in New York State’s Finger Lakes region. It is a private university with regional accreditation based on the American higher education system. The university offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs on campus and through its Accelerated Studies for Adults program in Central and Western New York State, as well as international programs in China and Vietnam. Keuka College has 4,800 multinational students and 2,800 students enrolled in joint programs in China and Vietnam, at Vietnam National University in Hanoi and HCMC. The university offers a variety of majors, including Business Administration, Social Sciences, Languages, Health, Education, Science and Mathematics.

The signing

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, said: “International collaboration has been DTU’s main focus for many years. We have been partnering with well-known universities around the world, including Carnegie Mellon University, one of the four leading IT universities in the US, to develop Bachelor programs in Software Engineering, Information Systems and Network Engineering and with Pennsylvania State University, one of the five leading public universities in the US, in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and Banking and Hospitality. DTU also partners with California State University Fullerton in Construction and Architecture programs and with Upper Iowa University and Troy University to offer students On-Site Study-Abroad programs. Over the years, DTU has received very positive feedback from students and their parents. DTU has made sustained efforts to provide students with internationally standardized academic programs, so that they can now receive advanced education and graduate with internationally accredited degrees, without having to leave Vietnam. The agreement we signed today will be advantageous to us all.” 

These special programs involve four years of education at DTU, with courses taught in English, in Business Administration, Startup Management and Nursing. Degrees are awarded by Keuka College and lecturers from Keuka College will teach 70% of the time and DTU’s other foreign teachers 30%.
