The 2017 DTU Graduation Ceremony

On June 4, the 2016/2017 DTU graduation ceremony was held for Masters, Bachelors, Pharmacy, Architecture and Engineering graduates and Associate Bachelors and Professional graduates, at the Trung Vuong Theater in Danang. Among this year’s 1,521 graduates, 77 students received High Honors degrees, comprising 6.2% of the total. 29 students finished their courses six to eighteen months earlier.

Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU President and Provost, said: “This is the 19th DTU Graduation Ceremony. You have overcome many difficulties during your studies at DTU and you can understand the sacrifices your parents and your families have made for you to attend university and obtain your degree. Please remember with deep gratitude the ways your family and teachers have always unerringly helped you to confidently face the future and to step into the reality of a career. You should also respect your Homeland, stay healthy and keep improving yourselves to become productive citizens.”
 
 
Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Vice-Provost awards Certificates of Merit to students who won national and international competitions

And today, at DTU, I have found potential employees, you! The Empire Group is a premier hotel management system of first-class hotels, with two hundred years of experience. We are also the operator of Cocobay Danang, an entertainment, tourism, and resort complex, the first megaproject in Vietnam, which is projected to attract three million visitors by 2020, creating ten thousand new jobs. We require a large number of qualified staff to develop, build and operate Cocobay. I congratulate all graduates today and hope to meet you again and work with you.”
 
 
The Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development in Danang awards 10 scholarships worth 5 million vnd each to students
 
Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu, DTU Vice-Provost, announced that there were 37 valedictorians from various majors, 18 of whom were offered jobs at the university. The ceremony celebrated the hard work of the new graduates through their years of dedicated studies and also recognized the special students who won major contests during 2016-2017.

The Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development in Danang granted ten and Global Cybersoft two scholarships, worth 5 million vnd each, to students with outstanding academic records.  

Mr. Ton That An is the father of Tôn That Binh, one of the four team members who won the 2016 CDIO Academy Cup in Finland. He said: “In over 22 years of development, with many great achievements and awards, DTU has built the trust of parents who recommend their children to study here. Watching them progress, learn and become more skillful every day, we can have peace of mind and await their successful graduations. As parents, we are also happy that they have graduated with outstanding awards. We believe that the DTU staff are both professional and ethical. We wish graduates the confidence, dynamism and good health to begin new and successful careers.”
