An International Workshop on Quantum Many-Body Problems in Particle Nuclear and Atomic Physics
On March 8th, DTU and RIKEN hosted an International Workshop on Quantum Many-Body Problems in Particle Nuclear and Atomic Physics, attended by leading Nuclear Physicists from America, Japan and India, allowing Vietnamese researchers to broaden their specialized knowledge and international partnerships.
The workshop focused on: Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) research in Nuclear and High-Energy Physics, the physical properties of cold atoms, nuclear structure and issues related to cosmology.
Associate Professor Nguyen Quang Hung of the DTU Institute for Research and Development chairs the workshop
Twenty-two papers were presented, many of which were written by leading researchers, including Professor Hideki Hamagaki of the Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science in Japan and Professor Gordon Baym of the University of Illinois in the US.
The Chairperson was Associate Professor Nguyen Quang Hung of DTU Institute of Research and Development, one of three scientists who made history with their paper entitled "A Simultaneous Microscopic Description of Nuclear Level Density and Radioactive Strength Function", which was published in the prestigious Physical Review Letters journal in January. The team were congratulated by the Minister of Science and Technology.
