Winning 14 prizes, including one first, six seconds, six thirds and one Lucky prize, DTU became one of the four universities with best performances at the 2016 National Architecture Student Festival taking place from April 16th to 19th at Yersin University in Dalat.
In the Panel Exhibition, DTU won a third award with an overview of the founding and development of DTU and the Faculty of Architecture. With the theme “New Life from Recycled materials” and a strange but beautiful 3D panel, using materials such as glass bottles, CDs, and dry twigs and ideas, derived from flowers still in bloom after a forest fire, DTU gained a second prize in the Recycled Arrangement Architecture section.
Capturing wonderful scenes of nature and the people of Dalat, in the Photographic Architecture section, Phan Thi Phuong won one first and one third prize.
With sharp sketch work and lively colors, clearly portraying the unique Dalat architecture, DTU students won a second and a third prize in the Sketched Architecture section.
With feasible ideas for the project entitled “A Plan for Dalat Flower Village” and unique designs for “The Culture of Gongs Exchange in the Highlands”, DTU students won one first, two seconds and three third prizes in the Architectural Idea 1 and 2 section.
With their youthful energy and enthusiasm, DTU students also obtained a second prize in Art Presentation, and one Lucky prize in the Mobile Architecture section.
