Ranked in the top fifteen libraries nationwide, the DTU Library was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Universities and Colleges Libraries Conference for its excellent achievements from 2011 to 2015. It was the only private university to be honored.

The conference published twenty-five excellent papers from libraries nationwide. DTU contributed a paper entitled “In-house Quality Assurance at the DTU Library” by Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Kieu, the Director.

With its modern facilities and equipment, including a magnetic gate system, laptops and Kindles, the DTU Library has 54,902 books in many languages and fields of study. With the assistance of dedicated librarians, lecturers and students can find any information they need, from books, newspapers, magazines, theses, CD-ROMs, e-materials, or research data freely available at the websites:

The library has taken part in many public activities, including a book show at the Tran Phu High school, donated educational books to orphans at the Village of Hope and given two thousand books to pupils in the Tay Giang Highlands of Quang Nam and elsewhere. The DTU Library was awarded Certificates of Merit by the Danang People’s committee in 2009, by the National Education Union of Vietnam in 2010 and by DTU for its outstanding achievements over the years.
Ms. Kieu said: “The DTU Library was founded in 1995, and achieved the In-house Quality Assurance standard in 2013, in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 requirements. The library has developed and tested 39 related systems, such as the Reader Server, Professional Processing, Data Organization, Materials Management and others. The continuing efforts of the library staff have been rewarded with this Certificate of Merit, encouraging them to improve the quality of service even more in the future.”
