Finding solutions to develop a network of ASEAN universities and colleges

On May 14th, Duy Tan University, in collaboration with the Institute for Southeast Asian Studies of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Association of Universities and Colleges of ASEAN (P2A) hosted the 4th P2A Partner Meeting. Mr. Phung Tan Viet, Vice Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee, attended the event. 
 
With the title: “ASEAN Community after 2015: Opportunities and Challenges”, the seminar focused on discussing to find out the best solutions to the present and future development of P2A. On this occasion, the “DTU International Week 2015” with many interesting activities,  such as booths to introduce the cultures of the ASEAN countries, presentation about ASEAN countries in English, trivia games and a music contest, was also held at DTU. 
 
Speaking at the event, Mr. Phung Tan Viet, Vice Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee, highly appreciated the initiative of founding P2A and of what P2A has contributed to enhancing the mutual understanding among ASEAN countries and to the ASEAN Community as well. He emphasized: Choosing DTU as a host of the 4th Partner Meeting of P2A has demonstrated the very prestige of DTU and this has created a great opportunity for all ASEAN members to exchange information and experience as well as to prepare for highly-qualified human resources, contributing to shortening the distance among ASEAN countries.
